After Bayern Munich outclassed Chelsea in all departments, below are the ratings for the night.

BAYERN MUNICH

Manuel Neuer - 6/10

Had a nervy game, made few decents saves and was at fault for gifting Abraham a goal.

Joshua Kimmich - 7/10

Kimmich showed just how important he is even though he had to play at right-back. Composed with the ball, provided additional defensive support to his teammates. Was taken off during the second half.

Jerome Boateng - 7/10

Picked up a hamstring injury early in the second half. The German did a good job defensively, keeping Tammy Abraham at bay.

David Alaba - 8/10

David Alaba’s pace and positional awareness were critical in helping Bayern properly employ the extremely high defensive line. The Austrian also impressed with his pin-point passing, thus helping his team dominate the game throughout the ninety minutes.

Alphonso Davies - 8/10

Alphonso Davies showed why he is one of the fastest players in Europe with his darting runs down the left flank. He simply camped himself in the Chelsea half, at times, providing his teammates with ample offensive support. Did a very good job defensively too

Thiago Alcantara - 9/10

Thiago ruled the show throughout the first half of the game with his expert passing and brilliant positioning sense. The Spaniard also made a host of key tackles that were essential in helping Bayern Munich dominate the proceedings. Such a strong showing should definitely make an impression amid Liverpool interest.

Leon Goretzka - 9/10

Leon Goretzka was one of the hard-working players on the night, playing for the Bayern that had already put in an excellent shift. The midfielder was always ready to create a turnover, making it difficult for the Blues to keep hold of possession.

Ivan Perisic - 8/10

Ivan Perisic was not the most active Bayern Munich attackers on the night. However, he was always a goal threat and it was reflected in the 24th minute when the he showed excellent composure to beat the ball past Willy Caballero and score the second goal. Got replaced by Philippe Coutinho.

Thomas Muller - 7/10

The ultimate Ramdeuter may have not have gotten on the scoresheet or made an assist, but the German was always there to provide creative support while also making a number of clever runs to attract defenders. .

Serge Gnabry - 8/10

Serge Gnabry put in a great shift, using his pace and trickery to provide a scare in the Chelsea defence. The German international was always on the lookout for that defence-threading pass. He was substituted for Javi Martinez in the closing phase of the game.

Robert Lewandowski - 10/10🔥

By far the best player on the night, Robert Lewandowski extended his tally to 53 goals in all competitions this season by scoring a brace. He also provided an assist for the Tolisso goal with an exquisite cross from the far side. He was just untouchable this evening.

SUBSTITUTES

Niklas Sule - 7/10

Replaced the injured Boateng during the hour-mark and integrated himself quickly with the pace of the game, despite having played no football all year. Notably had one sizzling attempt from long-range saved by Caballero.

Philippe Coutinho - 7/10

Philippe Coutinho made quite an impact after coming on around the hour-mark. The Brazilian offered spark in the final third, utilising his box of trickery to good effect.

Corentin Tolisso - 7/10

Tolisso scored the third goal to add more gloss to the Bayern scoreline. A rare appearance from the Frenchman.

Alvaro Odriozola - 7/10

Replaced Kimmich during the final phase of the game and provided the assist for the final goal through a sublime cross from the right flank.

Javi Martinez - N/A

Too late to make an impact, a late replacement for the tiring Gnabry.

CHELSEA

Willy Caballero - 4/10

Conceded the early penalty by rashly emerging off his line after Emerson played Robert Lewandowski onside and had little chance of keeping out the Poland striker's effort from 12 yards. May also be disappointed to have been beaten at the near post by Ivan Perisic for Bayern's second. A capable back-up, he must not be first choice next season.

Reece James - 5/10

Good interception to stop a Serge Gnabry through ball that would have sent Alphonso Davies through on goal and was sporadically a threat going forward. Good game from the right back

Andreas Christensen - 4/10

Allowed Lewandowski to ghost past in the lead up to the penalty. Gave Lewandowski too much room.

Kurt Zouma - 6/10

Was asleep for too long when Lewandowski had the ball before he squared to Perisic but was otherwise very good. Made a crucial block early in the second half and deflected another Lewandowski flash across goal. The best centre back in the squad right now. It should be him plus one other at the start of next season.

Emerson Palmieri - 3/10

Just Awful. Played Lewandowski onside for the run that led to the penalty and where was he for Perisic's goal? Also not tight enough to Tolisso for the third and made a lame attempt to deny Lewandowski for the fourth. Provided good offensive support, also sent the ball across goal for Abraham's goal. Might be his final appearance for the blues.

Mateo Kovacic - 4/10

Lucky to escape a booking for a late foul on Thomas Muller and then shockingly lost possession to allow Bayern to score their second of the night. Looked like a long season has caught up with him.

N'Golo Kante - 5/10

Wore the captain's armband for the first time and did all he could to stem the Bayern flow. Little could he do to stop Bayern's dominating midfielders. The key next season is to ensure he stays fit.

Ross Barkley - 4/10

Barkley was no where to be found in this game, ineffective and wasteful with possession on more than one occasion. He did block Thiago's goalbound shot in the 67th minute after yet more poor marking from a corner.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - 7/10

Was Chelsea's best player of the night, did plenty of defensive work. Outstanding finish to beat Neuer from about 25 yards only for VAR to rule the goal out for offside.

Mason Mount - 5/10

Below par performance from the English, quiet in the first half but had a good chance early in the second period after beating Bayern's high defensive line. Ended up unable to beat Neuer from a tight angle.

Tammy Abraham - 6/10

Good hold up for Hudson-Odoi's disallowed goal, and showed a poacher's instinct when on hand to tap in after Neuer's mistake. Eighteen goals for the campaign is a very respectable return.

Substitutes

Olivier Giroud - N/A

Came on for the tiring Abraham
